Hello ACS & FCS readers,
Below are the library activities for the week of April 6th-April 10th.

1) Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award.

The form was sent out via Google Classroom to students in grades 4 - 6.  Students who have read or listened to at least 5 titles from the 2019-2020 book list are eligible to vote. Students may vote only once. 

The book receiving the most votes in Vermont will receive the honor of the 2019-2020 Dorothy Canfield Fisher Book Award. 


2) Red Clover Book Award.

The form was sent out via emailed to teachers and parents.  It was also posted in the Library Google Classroom.  Students in grades K - 4 who have read or listened to at least 5 books from the 2019 - 2020 Red Clover Book List are eligible to vote.  I have recorded 7 Red Clover Read Alouds.  

The book receiving the most votes in Vermont will receive the honor of the 2019 - 2020 Red Clover Book Award.

  
3) For extra fun, keep filling out the Distance Reading Menu that was sent home from school. If you can't find your menu, here's a link to print out or look at a new copy.

Week of April 27th Library Class Activities

Good Morning!  This weeks story is Ada Twist, Scientist.  Written by: Andrea Beaty,  Illustrated by David Roberts Read by: Serena Auñón-Chancellor Things to think about:    What would it be like in space?  What would you do if you were in zero gravity? Things to think about:    Why is science important?  Why is space travel important? Things to do:  Ida Twist has a passion for science.  If you were a scientist, what type of scientist would you be?  Draw and write your answer.  Here's a handy   worksheet  t o help you out.
