Creepy Carrots! Read Aloud


Good Morning!

I am sharing "Creepy Carrots" written (and read) by Aaron Reynolds and illustrated by Peter Brown.

The book publisher, Simon and Schuster, has a great YouTube Channel. There are many videos of authors reading their own works, such as the video I posted of Aaron Reynolds.

Things to think about: How does the book only having a few colors change how we see pictures? What would happen to the story if the illustrator used more colors? Would it be different?

Things to think about: Put yourself in the story. What would be the food you love? How would the story change?

Things to do: Retell the story to someone at home.

Things to do: Retell the story with you in it instead of Jasper and with the food you love.

Remember - the work above is just a suggestion. The point of these posts is to enjoy books.

Good Morning!  This weeks story is Ada Twist, Scientist.  Written by: Andrea Beaty,  Illustrated by David Roberts Read by: Serena Auñón-Chancellor Things to think about:    What would it be like in space?  What would you do if you were in zero gravity?
